A Place to Stand

We indulge so much in the illusion of our own realities that we often forget we are part of something greater. We are beyond the body, the mind, and anything that serves to divide humanity. These are illusions that we create, man made. In actuality, they do not exist. We are greater than skin color, sex, origin, any boundaries, All Of It!

We are all one, and many of us spend so much time trying to create these nonexistent boundaries. Through meditation, we train the mind to understand the reality of our oneness with all, which is why meditation is of utmost importance.

Have we forgotten this simple truth?

Have we forgotten this simple truth?

Martin Luther King’s Speech, “I Have a Dream,” was not just about addressing oppression of Blacks in American society. His speech was about Civil Rights for all, whether it be about sex, religion, or national origin. His speech was a reiteration of the United States Constitution and Declaration of Independence. This was why it spoke so strongly to the hearts and minds of the American people. It was just a reiteration, every word. We should be forever grateful for the sacrifices he made to ensure modern day Civil Rights. In fact, he knowingly risked his life, for which we should be forever grateful.
Let us not be judged by the color of our skin, but by the Content of our Character.
