A Place to Stand

Hi, thanks for reading. Justify your statement by referring directly back to and attacking my original post. Thanks.

You do realize that the only person who is reblogging this & agreeing with you is a white supremacist, right? That’s all the justification anybody needs.

And they’ve been calling me a nigger at least 5 times. But I’m the one lacking in common sense and reasoning, by not trusting whites. You’ve called me a nigger but in different words by continually talking over me, around me, by writing the original post which misrepresented me.

I think that the vast majority of white people are UNintentionally ignorant. I think they say things that they don’t realize are offensive.

However, you are ignorant on purpose. The worst kind. I may have patience for the unintentional ones sometimes, but none for you.

You can take that degree in Psychology and tell other blacks they’re self fulfilling prophesies when they choose to avoid white people and not look to them for respect.

If a white person doesn’t have control over my GPA or my paycheck I really don’t need them in my life. <— get offended here.

I’ll chuck and jive for them out of necessity, but otherwise I’m good. All the other white people in my life are actually not racist. Unintentionally or intentionally (because either way hurts) and I don’t need to deal with it.

You can call me me whatever you wish, but at the end of the day you Cant argue with the facts. The fact is, you directly engaged in the self-fulfilling prophecy.

Firstly, I didn’t call you anything. Secondly, I said (in my post, let’s talk about my feelings”) that I expect white people to be racist, because they are 90% of the time.

A self-fulfilling prophecy (correct me if I’m wrong) is that I will white people to be racist. In other words, I say that white people who aren’t racist are racist because I expect them to be racist.

So… you’re telling me that I don’t know what racism is because I say that I’ve experienced it from the vast majority of white people and because you’re white and wonderful, you think I must be wrong. So the only explanation is that I am delusional.

And this behavior has been observed as far back ancient Greece and ancient India. If you can disprove it, you will be disproving a fact that has stood the test of time and has been proven again and again. If you can disprove it, then I am wrong. But until then, I have called you out on your ignorance.

What ignorance? You’re the one who can’t read. You’re the 1 who takes 1 sentence of a long post (that was not meant to be for a Sociology class) and decides to call a black person racist. That’s ignorance in my book.

If you are interested in learning more about it there is a book called “The Social Animal” written by social psychologist Elliot Aronson (whom, I might add earned a Ph.D. from Stanford University). Contrary to what you already believe about me suggesting this book, you have already composed an entire idea about how this book is centered around White supremacy and ignorance. And right about now, you’re wondering how I knew. And now, I’m going to explain to you that this book has experiments carefully constructed and tested by many, many scholars who also go into depth and insight about Black discrimination in America.

Wow. wow buddy. So now you’re the almighty white man who reads my mind. You do know that I’ve read books by white people before and liked them, right? (you ever checked my reading list, half of it is white), I am a college student.

For example, when Blacks are interviewed by White males, the interviewer sits farther away and spends less time in the interview. Also, there have been studies conducted in The Social Animal that prove that Black mentally ill patients in hospitals are treated far more harshly that Whites. But I am just giving you a taste, so now you Cant tell me that this book is based around White supremacy and ignorance. I’ve called you out on a thought I knew you would construct before even thinking it, now tell me that isn’t embarrassing. Which is why people who are completely psycho-analytical like myself cant be fooled by your ignorance.

Now tell me who is ignorant.

You are. That’s an easy question.

Please address how 1) you took 1 sentence of a post and decided to call me racist against white people.

Because it was clearly a racist statement. It doesn’t matter where it was in the post. It Was Clearly a Racist Statement.

and 2) how you respect me but didn’t reblog me, thinking you could get away with maligning my writing since you know I’ve never followed you… the only reason I found it is because someone I follow reblogged you initially & set you straight in a very succinct manner by actually adding context to your 1 sentence highlight, something a person with a college degree did not think to do.

I didn’t malign your writing, I exposed you. Do I care how you found it? Do I care about the context it was written in? No. It was clearly ignorant, and you thought you would get away with it. Well, you didn’t.

and 3) how a white supremacist reblogged this & felt compelled to call me a nigger bitch and a nigger cunt and told me to kill myself in your defense

Be objective, this is absolutely irrelevant.

and 4) how tons of black people have reblogged this and told you that you’re wrong and reveling in white privilege (and no I didn’t tell them to do that, but they could see your ignorance clearly themselves)

Have they disproved that fact that you engaged in the self-fulfilling prophecy? No. And neither have you, for that matter.

and 5) how you have not responded seriously to any of those black people and how you’ve talked over all of us

Because they haven’t objectively all responded to my original post. Which you seem to keep avoiding, also. Which makes them just as ignorant as you.

and 6) go back to my post which started this and read the notes of black women who related to what I was saying

Refer to my last answer.

and then 7) reblog this and tell me that we’re all wrong because the white man with the Psychology degree knows best.

You are saying exactly what I wrote an predicted you would say. Confirming your ignorance, obviously.

And you do know what racism means right?

When you think that your race is better than another. Not when you’re wary of another race because that other race tends to dehumanize you. That isn’t the definition. lol

Wikipedia: Racism is the belief that inherent different traits in human racial groups justify discrimination.

Dictionary.com: Racism: hatred or intolerance of another race  or other races.

Dictionary.com:  Intolerance: lack of toleration; unwillingness or refusal to tolerate or respect contrary opinions or beliefs, persons of different races or backgrounds, etc.

Tons have people have called me wrong. But have they disproved the facts? No. Quite frankly, it doesn’t matter where or how you make a racist statement. You made one. So prove that you did not use a self-fulfilling prophecy in that statement and get back to me.
